OUR MEADS
	Belgique 12% ABV -  Available in October  - Vintages A sweet methyglyn made with pure honey, whole coriander and bitter orange peel. The spices combine beautifully with the honey aroma. The honey flavor starts immediately and is followed boldly by the spices. The sweetness is counter-balanced by the spices. Lively, bright and warming from the alcohol. Goes well with Mexican cuisine or other spicy foods.
	Blue Ridge Hottie 11.0% ABV  -  $24.00 per 750ml  - Vintages A semi-sweet traditional mead made with pure, raw sourwood honey from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Leather, oak and Japanese golden pears in the nose. Light caramel, tobacco, leather and woody characters round out the flavor.  With age it develops a pleasant citric character. Try it with Chipotle Grilled Shrimp, BBQ or  other smoked foods.
	Burning Sappho 11.0% ABV  -  $20.00 per 750ml - Vintages A semi-sweet traditional mead made with pure, raw black locust honey from Iowa. This lovely mead has a woody, peppery nose that reminds you of fall foliage. The peppery, nutty flavors are balanced by the alcohol and it has a toasty, biscuity finish. Honey sweetness up front but finishes dry. Try this one with Thanksgiving dinner or a hearty stew.
	Clarity 11.0% ABV  -  $20.00 per 750ml  - Vintages A semi-sweet traditional mead made with pure raw basswood honey. This honey produces a delicate mead with a slight minty character. A touch of alcohol dryness up front followed by honeydew, papaya and pineapple. The finish is smooth and clean.
	Cyser Does Matter  6.5% ABV -  $16.00 - Vintages An easy drinking cyser with a caramelly, apple nose. A touch citric up front followed by the honey and apple flavors. Silky tannins round out the finish. The lower alcohol content make this easier drinking for those hot summer days.
	Desire 11.0% ABV  -  $20.00 per 750ml - Vintages A semi-sweet traditional mead made with raw desert wildflower honey. Lemongrass and verbenna in the nose. Delicate honey flavor up front followed by bright herbal flavors. Full bodied with an off-dry finish and balanced alcohol. Try this one with a variety of seafood including shellfish.
	Gingerly  10.0% ABV  -  $24.00 per 750ml - Vintages A sweet methyglyn made with whole fresh ginger and red currants. The ginger is bright and tickles your nose and tongue. The hint of red currants supports and enhances the ginger flavor without standing out. This is a lively mead with an earthy finish. Goes well with sushi and Asian Fusion cuisine.
	Gunnlod's Tears12.0% ABV  - $20.00 per 750ml - Vintages For those who prefer a dry mead, this one has a slight touch of honey up front followed immediately by alcohol, then the vanilla and tannins from the french oak come through to add complexity and smoothness. Bored with Chardonnay?  Try Gunnlod's Tears instead.
	Hot & Pink  10.5% ABV  - $22.00 per 750ml,  $16.00 per 375ml - Vintages A sweet melomel made with raw basswood honey and hand-picked Alaskan red currants. The bright fruitiness of the honey and berries complement each other exceptionally well.
	Luz Del Sol  11.0% ABV  - $20.00 per 750ml - Vintages A semi-sweet traditional mead made with 100% raw orange blossom honey. It has a very floral nose (verbena?) with bright citric orange flavor and aroma. Sweet floral flavors with some alcohol dryness accentuated by a touch of american oak. Sweet up front but finishes with a clean dryness. Try it with roasted chicken or fresh fruit.
	Made Marion  11.0% ABV - Not Currently Available  - Vintages A semi-sweet melomel made with whole marionberries.  A rich garnet color with a lush berry nose. Dried cranberries and cherries with earthy, leathery characters on the tongue. Oatmeal berry crisp, oak and toasted almonds round out the finish. Try it with a grilled salmon filet or cream based pastas.
	Marriage 12.0% ABV -  $22.00 per 750ml - Vintages A sweet melomel made with marionberries, raspberries and a floral blend honey. Like the wedding of my son and his beautiful wife (for which it was first made) this mead is a wonderful marriage of two very different but complementary berries. This is truly a case of the whole being more than the sum of its parts.
	Miel Noir 10.0% ABV - Available in October  - Vintages A sweet melomel made with raw tupelo honey and hand-picked Alaskan black currants. A fruity, spicy nose with a touch of evergreen. The finish is refreshingly acidic and tannic. The complex spice and fruit of the tupelo honey combines with the exciting and earthy black currants to make a truly spectacular mead.
	Odin's Gift 13.5% ABV- Available in August  - Vintages Silver Medal Winner at the 2008 International Mead Competition A semi-sweet traditional mead made with a floral blend honey that has a higher alcohol content and significant oak character. Look for sweet, fresh cut grass and mixed fruit in the nose. Toasted oak and citrusy characters up front followed by oak tannins and alcohol in the finish.  Great with wild fowl (quail, partridge, pheasant or turkey) or game (caribou, deer or moose).
	Razzery Cyser  6.5% ABV - $16.00 per 750ml - Vintages Gold Medal Winner at the 2008 International Mead Competition A fruity, earthy nose followed by a wonderful combination of raspberries, sour cherries and apples. A slight bready character makes this one remind you of holiday cherry pie. The lower alcohol makes it easier drinking than higher alcohol meads, but it's lacking nothing in the flavor department.
	Rubyfruit  11.0% ABV - Available Soon  - Vintages A sweet melomel made with handpicked Alaskan raspberries. How many ways can you say RASPBERRIES!! Raspberries are highlighted in this mead, in the nose and all the way through the palate.  You may notice some spiced apples, tannins and chocolate toward the finish.
	Southern Heat  10.0% ABV - $25.00 per 750ml - Vintages A sweet traditional mead made with pure, raw tupelo honey from the swamps of northern Florida. Vanilla, persimmon, peach and nutmeg in the nose gives way to toasted oak, complex spice, soft fruit and caramelized pears on the palate. The alcohol and acidity balance the sweetness of this complicated mead.
	Starry Night  11.0% ABV - $24.00 per 750ml, $18.00 per 375ml - Vintages A semi-sweet methyglyn made with raw sourwood honey, coriander and star anise. Black licorice and honeydew melon in the nose. The earthy flavors of the sourwood honey are enhanced by the bright, citric spiciness of the coriander and the wonderful anise nose. Try this one with Thai Cuisine or a wild mushroom soup.
